STEP - Choosing the right e-Visa Type

There are 5 types of Indian eVisas. Depending on the reason for your visit, select the appropriate one.

Tourist e-Visa

This e-Visa category is for those who wish to travel to India as a tourist.

There are 3 kinds of tourist e-Visas-

1-month tourist e-Visa - If you choose this one, you will get 30 days of validity, double entry, and 30 days of continuous stay option.

1-year tourist e-Visa- If you choose this one, you will get 365 days of validity, Multiple entries, and 90 days of continuous stay option.

5-year tourist e-Visa- If you choose this one, you will get 5 years of validity, Multiple entries, and 90 days of continuous stay option.

Business e-Visa

Portuguese business officials who wish to travel to India on business should apply for this business eVisa. Those who hold an Indian Business e-Visa will get 1-year validity, Multiple entries, and 180 days of continuous stay option.

Medical e-Visa

Medical e-Visas are intended for individuals seeking medical care from an Indian hospital. Indian Medical e-Visa holders will get 60 days of validity, triple entries, and 60 days of continuous stay option.

Medical attendant e-Visa

Medical attendant e-Visas are for individuals escorting patients seeking treatments from an Indian hospital. Indian medical attendant e-Visa holders will get the same validity, entries, and duration of stay as the Medical e-Visa Holders.

E- Conference e-Visa

The Government of India introduced this e-Visa category to help those who wish to fly to India for Conferences, webinars, etc. E- Conference Visa holders will get 30 days validity, Single entry, and duration of stay up to 30 days.

STEP - Upload the Necessary Digital Documents

Keep the required documents in the form of digital files. Portuguese citizens should have basic and additional documents for the other e-Visa category. The passport's bio page, passport-size photo, valid email address, debit/ credit card, financial proof, etc. are the basic documents that should be uploaded for all e-Visa categories.

Please note that documents in any format can be uploaded, and photos up to 10 MB are permitted. Please send us the photo document if the size is larger than 10 MB.

Suppose you are applying for an Indian Business e-Visa. In that case, you should upload the Business card, invitation letter, and documents with the details about the event, expo, etc. you are attending, and also about the hosting Indian company.

You should have your medical and treatment records, a letter from the Indian hospital, and a document with the information of the Indian hospital you are consulting if you are applying for an Indian Medical e-Visa.

While applying for an Indian Medical attendant e-Visa you need to have the escort permission letter/ documents, your relationship proof with the patient, the patient’s health records, and documents with the details about the Indian hospital.

E-Conference Visa application also needs additional documents such as an invitation letter, Political & Event clearance, etc.
